The Coast of Ecuador with its Isolated Beaches, Ancient Cultures and network of roads and trails gives us an excellent alternative to the Andes or the perfect complement to them for our Combo Tours. The limit of Coastal Tours is Guayaquil in the South to Esmeraldas in the North. We stick close to the Coast during all of our riding and virtually all of our evenings are spent at a beach side hotel. They are the usual "Fun in the Sun" type with Palm Trees and Hammocks to lie in while you sip on a Pina Colada and take in the evenings Sunset. Some are on a Sandy Beach perfect for a afternoon stroll and others are set on High Bluffs giving us spectacular views of the coast or a vantage spot for Whale watching! All hotels go through the Moto Selection Process and offer a clean and comfortable bed along with some of the Best Food in the Country! For Beach Tours we try and get the riding done in the morning so by mid afternoon you can explore the beach, lounge around, work on your tan or maybe go out and do a late afternoon trail ride or some other activity available to us before getting back to that Hammock & Sunset! |

Central Coast> Ecuador's largest city Guayaquil has undergone a huge renovation and on longer tours we stay here a night to enjoy its fine restaurants and vibrant nightlife. From there to Salinas we go through an arid area riding trails or dirt roads close to the beach. Salinas has excellent Offshore Fishing and just north of there is the town of Montanita with world-class surfing. We stay at the beautiful Isla Atamari with it's woderfull food and superb view of the coast. Just up the coast the Machalilla National Park with the Isla de la Plata home to many animals like those found on the Galapagos has excellent snorkeling or diving. We will make a stop at the Agua Blanco Community and tour the local museum of this community that lives as their ancestors did hundreds of years ago. Staying at another beachside hotel in Puerto Lopez we continue north riding the trails through the coastal mountains to Manta where we will stay the next night. The next day we're off to the Northern Coast |

Northern Coast> North of Manta we ride through Crucita on our way to Bahia de Caraquez where we can eat lunch before taking the Ferry across the bay on our way to that nights hotel, either one perched on a cliff high above the Pacific or one in the little beach town of Canoa. Contiuing North the Ruta del Sol or Route of the sun will take us along the Palm lined beaches of Muisine, Same and Atacames. Full of excellent hotels both large and modern or small and cozy and a bustling nightlife makes this area a great place to spend our last night on the coast. Going back to the Andes we stop at a Spa with a Hot Tub & Swimming pool and enjoy the last of the tropical heat before heading into the cool of the Andes. Depending on the tour we will do our Whitewater Rafting trip here also. The last day's spectacular ride into the Andes will have you booking next years Sierra Tour! |
